Helping You to Make Money Online in Kenya

Open a Chase Bank Account Online via ePay-Kenya

Last Updated on October 4, 2018 By Walter Akolo

Chase Bank Account Kenya

Open a Chase Bank Account online

As freelancers, one of the things we value the most is being able to do things from the comfort of our homes.

The new kid on the block in terms of doing things from home is the ability to open a fully functional Chase Bank account without physically visiting any banking hall or agent.

But you can already do this through Equity, Co-op etc., right?

Wrong!

With the other accounts, you’d have to physically go queue at the bank premises (or at an agent), submit your documents and then have your account opened. After this, you would be able to apply for online banking for Sh. 1200 per year as of today.

ePay-Kenya are now Chase Bank agents and through them, you can easily open a bank account painlessly from the comfort of your home or office.

Here’s what the online Chase Bank account offers you

  • Open an account without ever having to physically go to an agent or a banking hall. Simply send an email to chase@epay-kenya.com asking for the relevant forms
  • Access internet banking for FREE (and save Sh. 1200!)
  • Withdraw money from ePay-Kenya straight into Chase Bank
  • Withdraw from Chase Bank to M-Pesa
  • Request for a MasterCard ATM card that you can use anywhere (including for PayPal verification!)
  • Apply for a loan
  • Give instructions to the bank via email

How can I apply for a Chase Bank account online?

Good question.

First, you need to be an ePay-Kenya member with a verified account.

Secondly, simply send an email to chase@epay-kenya.com requesting for the relevant forms. The good people at ePay-Kenya will send you a quick response with the forms and further instructions. After that, you’ll need to sign the forms, attach copies of your ID and send to ePay-Kenya. Once everything is approved, you’ll have your own fully functional, Chase Bank account that you can even decide you’ll be using purely for online business.

Chase Bank has been around for a long time and has made its reputation. Over the last couple of years, it has been expanding its branches inside different neighborhoods and most of its users say it works great. Therefore, open a credible bank with a credible agent and forget the hustle of long queues among other inconveniences.

Very impressive service. I submitted my forms to Epay and within 24 hours I had my Jivunie current account activated. What is even more interesting, I withdrew from my Epay account to my new Chase account and within one hour….yes I said 1 hour, the money was in my account. Now this is indeed convenient banking. Keep it up Epay!

    Hi,
I would like to know how much it costs to maintain the account at Chase bank

    • Esta of ePAY says

      June 17, 2013 at 9:57 am

There are many account options depending on your requirement. There are those with no ledger fees as long as you maintain a certain minimum balance etc. If interested in more of this information, kindly drop me a line on chase@epay-kenya.com and I will be glad to forward all the information you require.

So all my online transactions involving my Chase bank online account will be made through epay Kenya, with the epay fees applicable?

    • Esta of ePAY says

      June 17, 2013 at 9:49 am

Not necessarily. Internet banking will give you an opportunity to access your bank statements, give instructions on what you need done with your account e.g credit your debit card from your account etc. ePAY will facilitate the account opening for you at no fee. If you have money in your ePAY account, you can now choose to withdraw via Mpesa or Chase Bank Account. Do not forget that with a chase bank account, you can deposit money straight from your Mpesa using a paybill number. You can also request for money to your Mpesa from your account. Simply put, convenient banking.

Thanks for the article. However, I have a question; I already have an account at Chase. How do I add online functionality to it?

    • Esta of ePAY says

      June 17, 2013 at 8:01 am

Hi Samuel, just drop us an email via chase@epay-kenya.com requesting for the internet banking application form and we will be glad to forward it to you together with the email indemnity form which gives you the authority to give email instructions to your branch banker directly.

  14. Esta of ePAY says

    June 17, 2013 at 12:46 am

Just to add that the opportunity to open a Chase account online is only available to ePAY members with a verified account. The cost of withdrawing from ePAY to your bank account remains the same as for Mpesa (USD 3 flat rate irrespective of the amount).

Thanks a lot Esther for your valued addition.

Good work you’re doing over at ePAY.
