I am sure you’ve heard of the saying that 97% of businesses don’t make it past the first year. I happen to have crossed that mark thanks to you! Please make sure you read this post and share your inspiration.
The Sad Part
It was sad to see my favorite Kenyan blogger’s site go offline the other day. I kept asking myself whether he lacked inspiration, didn’t make enough money or he just decided to quit and go on to other things.
I’m serious! I referred to this guy’s tips to start out with blogging and even used his affiliate links so that I can “pay” him for his efforts.
I also made sure I was one of his top commenters and kept appreciating him for the good work on social media.I totally believe that you shouldn’t appreciate someone when they’re dead, away or offline, appreciate them now, when they’re alive and strong.
Anyway, I’ll do another post soon on how Kevin Njoroge’s www.MakeMoneyOnlineinKenya.com (my favorite Kenyan blogger who’s been offline for some months now) and other blogs have helped me become who I am today.
Here’s How We Can Celebrate My 1 Year of Blogging
I sent this out to my exclusive mailing list but later thought it would be great to open it out to everyone.
1st April, 2013 marked my blog’s one year anniversary. At some point, I was wondering – Has my blog really had any impact on society? Has it made any impact on you?
I have therefore decided to come up with a post that I will call “FreelancerKenya Success Stories”. This will not be about me, but you and how my blog has helped you, in your own words.
In case FreelancerKenya has had any impact on you, please email your testimony to me in one or two paragraphs in MS Word format. My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org.
Examples of What to Share on Email
- Have I helped you start freelancing?
- Do I withdraw for you money from PayPal well without issues?
- Have you enrolled to any of my trainings and made it online?
- Did one or many of my blog posts helped you to start making money online?
- Have I hired you in iWriter or Freelancer?
These are just examples but if I have helped you in these or any other ways, feel free to email me and let me know so that I can include your testimony in that blog post.
When it comes to online marketing, credibility is key.
I will totally believe your testimonial, but new readers may not. Therefore, I’d really appreciate if in your testimony you can include a link to your freelancing profile eg. Elance or iWriter, your blog, your social media profile or just your photo so that guys don’t think I made up the appreciation. Also, please use your real name.
I really hope that I’ll get enough responses to do a nice roundup blog post to help me celebrate a year of blogging.
Thanks in advance and feel free to drop a comment below.
