    Hello Mr Walter,

Hope all is well with you. Actually, i want to first thank you for the effort you have done by enlightening Kenyans about online jobs. However, i wanted to pledge if you could inform us more about article writing sites that hires worldwide with fair paying rates, apart from iwriter. Also i must say that my writing experience in iwriter is catching up than i had expected. Thanks to your affordable and more effective training i had with you.

I can refer anyone who is interested in making money online through writing to enroll for Walter’s training e course.

    THANKS

Hi Jeremy. I am well, thanks. I would have recommended CrowdSource but they recently banned Kenyans. You can try GreatContent.com. Also try out the different bidding sites like Elance, Upwork and PeoplePerHour. Many good writing sites that pay very well do not allow Kenyans directly. I am glad you are doing great on iWriter. Keep up the good job. Thanks.

Hi Walter. First, i would like to commend you for helping people know more about online jobs. However, I must say I’m deeply saddened at how far kenyans are willing to exploit writers. I just saw in one of your letters someone paying 100bob per every 500words. While the writer does the donkey job & ends with blood shot eyes, the employer is smiling all the way to the bank, earning a modest 10$ per page.. U have been in the industry for long, so I assume u can relate to the plight of writers. Im of the opinion that writers should be paid atleast 200 a page. Kindly address this issue if possible

      Hi Kariuki

I totally appreciate your kind words.

Yes, that amount is totally low. There are writers who mail me and say they’re comfortable with that rate on their first month or two of writing then they move to bigger things.

My take is that for a beginner it’s doable but for veterans, it’s not. I also tell them to ONLY apply for jobs when they’re okay with the rates.

      Thanks.

I am a diploma holder in Business I.T & desire to do online jobs. Probably internet marketing and data entry to start with. Have tried some data entry before only that, they didn’t pay me,it wasn’t a genuine site. I am interested to do this and even with time be able to diversify but where do i begin? Please guide me

Hi Mercy. Sorry data entry jobs online are mostly scams. When it comes to marketing you sure can consider internet marketing. There is a whole lot of information about proper internet marketing. I’d urge you to do some research on reputation management, search engine optimization, email marketing, search engine marketing, social media marketing and forum marketing among others to familiarize yourself on internet marketing. Thanks.

      Hi Sitienei

You first decide which job you want to start with. There are numerous jobs such as article writing, academic writing, app development, programming, web design, internet marketing e.t.c.

my comment is a bit late but i’ve been working with Londonbrokers since 2010. Problems started when very many non-native writers joined and so they did a cleanup. mine was closed too but i bought a new one from a native. I’ve been using it since and they have paid me over $7000

      Hi Douglas,

Thanks a lot for your comment. I personally do not do paid accounts.

Anyway, $7,000 is good. You can also diversify to other sites just in case.

      Thanks

Thanks for your reply. It’s now much clearer.
Do you have any insights on academic writing? I hear it is also quite a good way to make money online (so long as one is not bothered by the ethical issues involved in doing other people’s academic work for them).

I don’t have much about Academic Writing. I know it is a great way of making cash but I am one of those with ethical issues.

Thanks a lot and feel free to ask any more questions.

    Hi.
You’ve mentioned in one of your comments above that you can make money online by ‘Hiring freelancers and paying them a commission to write for your clients’.
I’ve noticed many Kenyans doing that, whereby they source bulk writing jobs from clients, I don’t know from where, then they place ads on sites such as Google Trader and Dealfish looking for writers to do these jobs. Would you know how they go about sourcing the bulk jobs in the first place? It looks like it could be a great opportunity if one could source those jobs directly and do them oneself.

      Hi,

      Thanks for your question.

Yes, you can do that but I don’t advise that for everybody. They get the bulk jobs from the normal freelancing sites such as Freelancer and Elance or even regular special requests on iWriter. The problem comes when a client delays payment and you don’t have reserve cash somewhere to pay the writers. This has been the start of the downfall of many guys who hire freelancers without reserve cash.

If you want to source for the jobs and do them yourself then I advise you do massive bids in Freelancer and Elance. You may get lucky and get those clients who need bulk work. Do more of Elance since it pays much better than Freelancer. If you are a very good writer also stick to iWriter and you may get regular special requests.

      All the best

Could you do a post on forex trading? Or if you are not savvy in the area, could you find a guest do a post? Am interested in it but I don’t know how to start.

Some few months ago, i signed up for Londonbrokers.net which is an article writing website. However, after working with them for three weeks, i got a Message telling me your account has been deactivated (they paid me for the work). It may be the fact that they need native English speakers but i have heard there are Kenyans who are working with them successfully. If you have any information please let me know, Thank you.

      -Forex trading
      -Multi-level marketing
      -Advertising revenue from websites
-Direct selling, where you own an online store and sell your stuff
      -Creating and selling niche websites
-Freelancing (you can freelance accounting, architecture, web design, graphic design e.t.c on sites like freelancer.com and elance.com)
      -Transcription

…and many more…they keep coming up almost every day.
